Raksaa Hideaway

A secluded two-villa retreat folded into a 3,232 m² green site in Madua Wan — two private homes held apart by a shared pool deck, layered planting and the quiet character of the existing jungle.

Raksaa Hideaway is a private tropical villa estate on Koh Phangan, conceived as a pair of independent two-storey villas set within a large landscaped plot. Rather than a single mass, the architecture is split into two buildings positioned around the natural shape of the land, with a resort-style pool and timber decking zone threaded between them.

Each villa pairs private bedroom suites on the upper floor with open lounge, dining, kitchen and terrace space below, all opening through large sliding screens to shaded outdoor rooms. Sun and wind studies — oriented to the north-east and south-west trade winds — shaped the openings and planted buffers, while a warm palette of timber cladding and soft modern roof forms gives the retreat its calm, grounded character.
