Hillside Development · Koh Phangan, Thailand
Rather than flattening a difficult 27% slope, Siam Mila lifts and steps its architecture into the hillside — elevated floor plates, subfloor pockets, pools and planted terraces all working with the contour rather than against it.
Siam Mila Villas is a multi-unit development designed for a steep tropical site in Koh Phangan, bringing several property types together under one coordinated masterplan. The wider site spans approximately 1,633.5 m² across four plots, rising from 67.5 m to 79.5 m, with a 68-point survey mapping existing trees, rock groups and contour data before any villa could be positioned.
The collection pairs two mirrored two-storey three-bedroom villas with a calmer single-storey three-bedroom villa, and adds two compact garden bungalows around a central deck and communal pool. Architecturally it speaks a tropical-modern language — pitched roofs, large glazed elevations, warm timber, white render and shaded decks — balancing crisp contemporary forms with softer natural detail.
